Most Recent Customer ReviewsDate : 2010-03-06 Summary : Best trackball mouse. I have three track ball mice and this is the best one. One trackball I have doesnt have a scroll wheel and it is terrible. The scroll wheel around the ball serves an awesome design and would recommend to anyone.
Date : 2010-03-04 Summary : Dedicated trackball user satisfied Not the perfect trackball, but the best that I could find that was corded. The scroll ring is nice. It needs an extra button. Good price and delivery.
Date : 2010-03-04 Summary : Next evolution is SA-WEEEET! I have been using Kensington trackballs--primarily the Orbit--for the past 10 years. I absolutely love my latest Orbit, as I had completely ran my last one into the ground after 5 loyal years. The ball responds much closer to my fingers, and the scroll wheel is a dream. I do professional graphic design and music editing, as well as the occasion first person shooter and online shopping. If you aren't using this trackball, you may not understand how to use your hands to their best ability. Get one today!
Date : 2010-02-24 Summary : Not an Expert Mouse The Scroll wheel is the best feature. Construction is all polymer. This doesn't compare with the Expert Mouse in comfort for me, but its still more comfortable than a regular mouse. My biggest complaint is that pages will occasionally scroll a bit unpredictably. My second biggest complaint is the location of the buttons.
I do a lot of "mousing" when in front of the computer and have worn out a few Expert Mouse models. But when it comes right down to it, the much higher price tag of the Expert Mouse is worth it to me, and this one will be a backup or given to a family member who needs it.
This one just rates as okay... better than most regular mice, but not as good as a Expert Mouse.
Date : 2010-02-22 Summary : Serviceable trackball I bought this to replace a Logitech Marble Mouse trackball. The Logitech device was interfering with tabs in Safari (Mac). (Note: the newest software update from Logitech fixes that problem.) The best thing about the Kensington trackball is that no extra software is required. Plug and use. I have really enjoyed the scroll ring, so even though I have updated the Logitech software, I'm still using this trackball. The downside: it's less ergonomic than the Marble Mouse. My wrist gets more tired/sore. The included wrist rest is, for me, practically useless. Better if Kensington had simply lengthened and narrowed the trackball more in the first place. But, as I said, I have not gone back to the Marble Mouse because of the scroll ring. If I were to be on the computer for a long period of time, however, I think I would switch -- for that task -- to the Marble Mouse...then return to this.
